General Comment
2011-07-15 Methyltestosterone is a synthetic anabolic steroid. The methyl group at position 17 serves to increase oral bioavailability. Methyltestosterone is used for treating men with testosterone deficiency and similar androgen replacement therapies. In addition, it has antineoplastic properties and so has been used for treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
