General Comment
2011-04-07 Apramycin is a structurally unique antibiotic produced by a strain of Streptomyces tenebrarius, containing a bicyclic sugar moiety and a monosubstituted deoxystreptamine. An aminoglycoside antibiotic, it has bactericidal activity against many Gram-negative bacteria and is used in veterinary medicine, but is not approved for use in humans.
