The common nephric duct (cnd) (syn: common mesonephric duct, common Wolffian duct) (TS:19-TS:22) is the caudal portion of the paired epithelial nephric ducts, between the ureteric bud stalk/ureter attachment site (anterior/cranial end) and the site of insertion into the urogenital sinus at the urogenital sinus ridge (posterior/caudal end). Regresses after TS:21 due to remodelling and apoptosis and at TS:22 only a few cells are visible. Marked by Cdh1, Hoxb7 and Ret.
