OBSOLETE. Catalysis of the reactions: glycine + lipoylprotein = S-aminomethyldihydrolipoylprotein + carbon dioxide (CO2), followed by S-aminomethyldihydrolipoylprotein + (6S)-tetrahydrofolate = dihydrolipoylprotein + (6R)-5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate + ammonia. Made up of two components, aminomethyltransferase and glycine dehydrogenase (decarboxylating).
