OBSOLETE. An enzyme complex that catalyzes the cleavage of a Gly-Phe bond to release an N-terminal, basic peptide of 5-8 residues from type IV prepilin, and then N-methylates the new N-terminal amino group.

This term was made obsolete because prepilin peptidase is a single gene product, and there is no evidence that it acts as a multimer.
