Name
S-methylmethionine metabolic process
Ontology
biological_process
Synonyms
S-methylmethionine metabolism
Alternate IDs

Definition
The chemical reactions and pathways involving S-methyl-methionine (SMM). SMM can be converted to methionine by donating a methyl group to homocysteine, and concurrent operation of this reaction and that mediated by MMT sets up the SMM cycle. Source: PMID:12692340, GOC:mah
