Name
ERBB2 signaling pathway
Ontology

Synonyms
ERBB2 signalling pathway, HER2 signaling pathway, NEU signaling, receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2 signaling pathway
Alternate IDs

Definition
The series of molecular signals initiated by binding of a ligand to the tyrosine kinase receptor ERBB2 on the surface of a cell. The pathway ends with regulation of a downstream cellular process, e.g. transcription. ERBB2 receptors are themselves unable to bind to ligands, but act as a signal-amplifying tyrosine kinase within a heterodimeric pair. Source: Reactome:R-HSA-1227986, PMID:16460914, GOC:jc
