The reason for obsoletion is that this term has been inconsistently used. For export of an antibiotic by the organism that synthesizes it, consider 'GO:0140115 ; export across plasma membrane'. For export of an antibiotic by the target organism, consider 'GO:1990961 ; xenobiotic detoxification by transmembrane export across the plasma membrane'.
