Is the epicnemial carina homologous with acetabular carina? It seems that the epicnemial carina is used in Ichneumonoidea for to nonhomologous structures, one of which is homologous of acetabular carina.

A ridge or carina that is sometimes present anteriorly on the mesepisternum behind the procoxa, and which may continue under the coxae (see acetabular carina) to the discrimen, which delimits an epicnemium between itself and the procoxa and a mesosternal shelf between itself and the mesocoxae.
