This term should be the synonym of depression. The only difference is in size! Or? Is there a difference in whether the structure is cellular or not? The puncture is smaller than a cell? The depression is a concave area incuding the surfaces of more cells? Also are there developmental differences?

is it part surface sculpture: puntured or punctate? If yes, than it is perhaps PATO candidate if not, than it is a depression ro either a pit.
